The latest addition in the Majacraft line, the Pioneer is an entry level wheel with double treadles and Scotch tension. Made of solid pine (stem) and plywood (base and pedals, MDF wheel), it is covered with an attractive cream wash finish. It features a delta flyer, polycord drive band and the ability for the spinner to customize the orifice position (as in the Gem). All Majacraft flyers and bobbins will fit on it. It's novel, it's small, it's very portable. The Majacraft Little Gem 2 breaks some new ground in spinning wheels and comes packed in its own thermal carry bag.

What's special about it? It follows the concept of the accelerated wheel. Instead of being driven by rods connected to the treadles, the wheel is belt driven from a small crank between the treadles. At any given speed, the Gem wheel rotates at around one and a half times faster than a normal wheel. The treadles operate on a unique rolling action over the crank, entirely different from the up and down action of conventional treadles. The head portion is separate from the main stem and is able to be raised and turned to suit the spinner. This is a major development in design where the spinner can feed the fibre straight into the orifice rather than moving the hands or body to suit the direction of the wheel.

The Little Gem 2 is very easy to assemble and dis-assemble, the wheel and lower stem folding down over the pedals after the head has been removed. However it can also be carried or stored folded flat with the head assembly turned to the side.

This new look from Majacraft is an example of compactness in a new design but with the treadling feel of the other Majacraft wheels. The Millie is a true double-treadle wheel with fine action. The wheel features cabriole legs and a convenient seat bench in front to rest your hand cards, wool or other spinning needs.

The Millie offers ratios from 4 to 12 to 1 using a stretchy drive band. The orifice is the versatile delta design which allows you to spin yarn at a wide range of weights. The flyer head can be adjusted left or right to suit your spinning preference. A fine fiber flyer with regular orifice is optional. This wheel is single drive with scotch tension.

New Zealand Rimu is used for all parts except the wheel rim which is a very durable rimu veneered MDF, a composite wood which ensures great balance. The Millie weighs 12lbs. and has an orifice height of about 30" (height is adjustable). The wheel rim is 14.4" in diameter. The flyer and wheel crank are both mounted with sealed roller bearings and the double crank uses spherical bearings. The 4 large bobbins are plastic which permits dyeing and boiling on the bobbin.

- what a pretty wheel! It has some of the look of the Suzie below but also some unique differences. The center support has a different design and the wheel is spoked. The treadling is double. Ball bearing connections are used throughout. It comes with a regular flyer (with delta orifice) and fine fiber flyer (with regular orifice) so total ratios extend from 4.25:1 to 19.5:1 utilizing two whorls (4.25, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13.25, 16.5 and 19.5 to 1). The lazy kate is set up in a box for use and storage. The wheel is shipped partially assembled meaning you can be spinning in short time.

The wheel is 17" and is made of MDF (like the green version of the Suzie). The balance is made of New Zealand Rimu. The bobbins are very large and made of plastic that can be used directly for dyeing. Tensioning is done with a scotch set-up on the flyer and an easy wheel tension adjustment on the flyer head. The flyer uses the now standard delta orifice. Everything comes finished with a hardwearing precatalysed lacquer. Includes four bobbins.
